Hello fellow Adventurers!
I am absolutely thrilled to invite you to sail away with me on my brand new Croatia Sailing Adventure! A crewed catamaran charter is my personal favorite way to vacay, and I am so excited to be able to offer and share this unique "bucket list" experience with you.
I have chartered two Lagoon 52 Catamarans, known for their comfortability in sailing, for the week of September 2-9, 2023.
We will be sailing round trip out of Split, Croatia and exploring the coast of mainland Croatia, as well as idyllic islands like Hvar and Brac. This itinerary also includes the very unique experience of sailing up the St. Anthony Channel to visit some of Croatia’s most scenic and famous waterfalls in Krka National Park.
Each boat has five comfortable guest cabins equipped with air conditioning and a private bathroom. There are several areas on the boat to relax and hang out with your fellow adventurers, or to spread out and have some quiet time to yourself.
There will be two crew members, a captain and a chef/hostess on each boat that will cater to you and make your vacation amazing. They will be there to assist with preparing meals, snacks, and drinks, while also keeping the boat and your cabin in tip-top shape, and safely and smoothly sailing the boat to find us the best spots to explore. The crew will have their own accommodations on board the boat as well.
Our days will be relaxing and filled with sailing, exploring tiny coves, remote beaches and bays, wandering through idyllic seaside villages, and dining on authentic local cuisine at local Croatian restaurants (called restorani or konoba).
The itinerary is very flexible and dependent upon the wind and our activities each day. This part of the Adriatic Sea is known for its calm seas and pleasant breeze in September and the clarity and vivid blues of the sea here are unmatched.
A typical day will look something like this: Wake up to a gorgeous view of crystal clear, sapphire blue water and have breakfast onboard, freshly prepared by our private cook and served alfresco with a side of amazing views on the deck.
Next, you can jump in the water for a quick swim or maybe a snorkel. Then, everyone back on board as we sail to our next scenic spot, some people may choose to help hoist the sails or get a lesson on how to sail, while others relax with their favorite drink while lounging on the trampoline.
When we reach our next destination we can head into town for a delicious lunch of local seafood and a cold beverage, perhaps wander the cute alleyways, explore the local shops, or peek into an old church before we go back to our boat to cool off with a dip in the refreshing sea and enjoy charcuterie snacks and cocktails at sunset.
Then we can have a fun group dinner in a little taverna by the seaside, a night cap back on your own boat to take in the beautiful night sky and the view of the stars before retiring to your private cabin to let the soothing sounds of your boat lull you to sleep. Then wake up the next day to realize that it was not just a dream and do it all over again!
This sailing package is very inclusive with breakfast every day, four lunches and two dinners prepared and served onboard. We will take our other meals ashore to enjoy the local dishes and culture of the destination. Food and drink in the local restaurants are generally very reasonably priced. We will make reservations at a restaurant each evening that we are dining on land. You are welcome to join the group for dinner or dine on your own, whichever you prefer!
Items not included in the package are airfare, airport transfers, the lunches and dinners taken ashore in restaurants, and any alcohol and gratuity.
There will be optional pre-sail add-on packages in Dubrovnik and possibly in Split depending on interest.
